The Toledo Police Department has canceled a statewide missing adult alert for a 38-year-old woman who had not been seen since Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, Shatai Stewart left her home on Avondale Ave. around 10 a.m. and failed to return. She was believed to be driving a black 2006 Chevrolet Malibu with temporary Michigan license plates, despite reportedly suffering from a medical condition that does not allow her to drive.
Both Stewart and her 2-year-old daughter were later found safe, and the alert was canceled around 4 p.m.
