TROY, Ohio -- A 72-year-old man at the center of a statewide missing adult alert has been found safe and returned home.
Authorities provided the update around 10 a.m. Monday -- nearly seven hours after triggering the statewide alert for Herschel Whitt.
Whitt was reported missing after leaving his residence on Wisteria Drive in Miami County on Sunday morning and never returned home.
The missing adult alert was issued at 2:49 a.m. Monday.
