The body of a missing man was recovered from Lake Erie near Huron Pier Sunday afternoon. The Huron Police Department identifies him as Henry J. Stout, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

The U.S. Coast Guard and Huron Fire responded to the pier Saturday evening after reports the 19-year-old fell into the lake and was swept away by waves. The police department tells Channel 3 Stout was trying to get from the pier to the lighthouse, and was most likely knocked off of the pier by a wave. Officials suspended their search at night fall and reconvened Sunday morning.

Just before 5 p.m. Sunday, Huron Fire conducted a dive operation and was able to recover Stout's body. An autopsy will be done by the Lucas County coroner.

The pier is now reopen. The police department extends their sympathies to the victim's family and friends.
