Our own Mike Polk Jr. is here to remind you that cats need loving homes too!

CLEVELAND — It's once again time to "Clear The Shelters!" The annual pet adoption initiative will return for the eighth consecutive year, all throughout the month of August.

As part of the month-long event, WKYC Studios is partnering with local animal shelters and rescues to promote pet adoption and help raise funds to support animal welfare in the community.

And while dog adoptions remain a huge need, our own Mike Polk Jr. is here to remind you that cats need loving homes too! So he's back with another installment of his "Meet Those Kitties" segment, where he introduces 3News viewers to some fabulous cats in need of fur-ever homes.

Mike visited Friendship Animal Protective League - a private, independent, non-profit humane society founded in Elyria, Ohio to get to know Fallon, Leo, Buster, Marc and Timber and all that makes them the perfect addition to your family.

Help us Clear The Shelters by visiting ClearTheShelters.com to adopt or donate to a local shelter or rescue and visit Friendshipapl.org to learn how you can adopt these kitties.
