NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio — Thanks to Brady’s K9 Fund, Bear with the North Royalton Police department has some new gear.

Brady’s K9 Fund was created in 2018 by then 10-year-old Brady Snkovsky with the goal to provide K9’s across the United States with ballistic vests.

On Thursday, Bear was the recipient of one of those vest. The department took to Facebook thanking Brady for his donation.

“Brady believes that police K9's should have protection just like their handlers. K9 Bear thinks so too!"

Brady and his mom were watching an episode of Live PD when he noticed a police K-9 on the show did not have a bulletproof vest and wanted his mom to help him buy one for a local K-9. The vests are expensive, with a cost of more than $1,000.

With the help of crowd-sourcing and fundraising through his official non-profit, Brady has made donations to 134 K9 officers.
