WTAM 1100 holds annual 'Coats for Kids' drive

Coats for Kids Cleveland has raised millions of dollars to provide new and like-new jackets for needy area children.

It's a tradition that has been in Northeast Ohio for over 30 years: WTAM 1100's annual "Coats for Kids" drive.

Originally founded in 1981, Coats for Kids Cleveland has raised millions of dollars to provide new and like-new jackets for needy area children. Collection bins have been placed in local malls every year from November through January, and monetary donations are always accepted as well.

This year, WTAM and other iHeartRadio stations are giving away 2,200 raffle tickets, with all proceeds going to Coats for Kids. They are $100 each, with prizes including a 2018 Nissan Sentra or as much as $25,000.

Tickets can be purchased any time through 6 p.m. tomorrow either online at coatsforkidscleveland.org, by phone at (216) 578-1100, or in person at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg, where Mike Trivisonno will be broadcasting live both days.
