"Something terrible has happened."

STREETSBORO, Ohio -- Police have released the audio of a 911 call made from inside the home where an 11-year-old was shot and killed by his brother Monday night.

"Something terrible has happened," the frantic caller, who was a family friend babysitting the boys, told dispatch. She went on to say she heard a "pop" and found the 11-year-old bleeding everywhere with a hole in his neck. According to a police report, the boy was found in a bedroom.

The 11-year-old victim died at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center.

Streetsboro Police say the victim's 13-year-old brother is now facing charges of aggravated murder and is being held at the Portage County Juvenile Detention Center. Investigators believe the gun used in the crime was stolen from the teen's grandfather's home. Police also believe the shooting was premeditated.

During the 911 call, the caller told dispatch the 13-year-old left and she didn't know where he went. Police found him at the scene and took him into custody. He's scheduled for arraignment Wednesday.

WKYC is not publishing the names of the boys involved.

Police reports show officers responded to the home just last week, when one of the boys was reported for misbehaving by his stepmother on Thursday. According to the report, the boy made comments indicating he wanted to harm himself. No further action was taken, the report states.

Officers also responded to the home in March 2015, where the boys' father was arrested for violating a protection order. According to the report, the protection order, filed in 2012, was still active, though the father since gained full custody of the boys. Investigators did not find any evidence of abuse, the report states.
