STREETSBORO, Ohio -- WKYC has confirmed that the Streetsboro Police Department has an arrest warrant for former Macedonia Mayor Joe Migliorini.

The warrant is for burglary and violation of a protection order that occurred Monday night.

Migliroini, 65, resigned last month after it became public knowledge that he had been charged for domestic violence against his girlfriend in Florida in April.

A 44-year-old woman at the restaurant told police her boyfriend, identified as Migliorini, dropped her off for a business meeting. When he returned, she says she told him her meeting was not finished and turned to reenter the building. As she did so, Migliorini allegedly grabbed her by the hair and pulled her backward, spinning her around to face him before slapping her across the face.

When he learned police were called, Migliorini reportedly fled from the restaurant and was later located at the PGA Marina nearby.
