Repairs to the Ohio Statehouse and Capitol Square following weeks of protests in downtown Columbus will cost $158,263.57.
The cost was reported by the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board, which is responsible for maintaining the Statehouse and square.
The repair cost does not include the expenses incurred by the Ohio State Highway Patrol or damages on other state property.
The board hired a professional service to clean and remove graffiti from the building and monuments.
Broken windows at the Statehouse have been boarded up since May 29 while the board gathered quotes on repairs for the glass and woodwork of the windows and doors.
