VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. — Indiana Conservation Officers recovered the body of Terry L. Evans from the Wabash River in the area where his capsized boat was first discovered.
According to an update from DNR, Evans' body was found just after 10 a.m. Sunday.
His family in Danville, Illinois has been notified.
An autopsy will determine his exact cause of death.
The report of the overturned boat came in Friday near the Duke Energy Plant in Vermillion County.
A Duke Energy employee called 911 after seeing the overturned boat near a low head dam located on a feeder creek along the Wabash River.
Conservation Officers then began searching the area with sonar and divers.
