Missing Adult Alert canceled in Stark County for 92-year-old man

STARK COUNTY, Ohio — UPDATE: Dec. 31, 10:46 a.m. 

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that the missing man was found safe and have canceled the Missing Adult Alert. 

ORIGINAL STORY 

A statewide Missing Adult Alert has been issued by the Stark County Sheriff's Office for a 92-year-old man.

According to officials, John Gabl drove away from his home on Dorrington Avenue Northeast in Canton on  Friday, Dec. 30 at 11 p.m. 

Law enforcement officials are worried for his safety as he suffers from dementia and other health issues.

Gabl is described as standing at 5'8, weighing 150 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes,

The vehicle that Gabl drove away in was a dark blue 2009 Hyundai Elantra with an Ohio license plate JMG9.

Anyone with information on Gabl's whereabouts is asked to contact 1-888-637-1113 or 911.
