$5,000 reward offered for information on deadly Canton fire ruled arson

CANTON, Ohio — EDITOR'S NOTE: The video above previously aired on 3News on Sept. 30, 2022. 

Investigators are looking for information after they've ruled a Canton house fire as arson, according to the Division of State Fire Marshal's Fire and Explosion Investigation Bureau. 

That's why the Blue Arson Committee is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for this fire.

The fire broke out on Thursday, Sept. 29, around 11 p.m. at 914 Raff Road Southwest in Stark County. 

Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters discovered a multi-residential home with a heavy fire in the back of the building. 

Several residents were trapped inside the house and were rescued by the firefighters. One resident later died at the hospital as a result of their injuries.

Amid the investigation, the Canton Fire Department and State Fire Marshal determined the fire was intentionally set.
