CANTON, Ohio — The Sisters of Charity, in partnership with the Stark Community Foundation, donated more than $100,000 this week in their efforts to provide relief and aid to organizations that need help during this COVID-19 pandemic.

In just six weeks, more than $1 million has been distributed all over the state, and this week, was no different.

The group announced that this week’s donations will benefit organizations like ICAN Housing, Project REBUILD, Stark County Catholic Schools, and the YWCA of Canton.

The grants are provided weekly thanks to donations from several local groups, charities and individual donors who have provided assistance during this time.

Those eligible to receive help include local 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, churches and government entities affected by COVID-19, however they are currently placing priority on groups providing any of the following: housing assistance for seniors, childcare, mental health services, homeless services, as well as any other emergency needs.
