A local boy's wish to become a police officer when he grows up because "they save the day" got a lot closer on Tuesday.

Thanks to A Special Wish, 5-year-old C.J. had a chance to make a visit to the New Franklin Police Department to be an officer for a day.

C.J. is believed to have a genetic disorder causing immune dysregulation. He received a bone marrow transplant at University Hospital's Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital back in November. Six months post-transplant, CJ feels better than he has ever felt and is slowly experiencing some "normalcy" of childhood.

Officers fitted C.J. with his very own uniform and took him to 'fight crime all day' with visits to the local pool, bank and fire department. Captain Marvel and the Cleveland Indians' mascot Slider came along for the ride.
