MUNROE FALLS, Ohio — Select residents of Munroe Falls are advised to boil their tap water "until further notice" following a water main break in the area.
The mayor's office says the alert is in effect on Fox Run Drive between Laurel and Forest Brook Boulevards. While there is currently no evidence the water lines have been contaminated, the advisory was still issued as a precaution.
Citizens are instructed to boil any water fully for one minute to kill any possible bacteria before letting it cool and storing it for use. This should not be done with a microwave, and infants, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems may still be at greater risk even if measures are taken.
Crews are currently working to repair the water main damage.
