Canton man charged in accidental shooting death of 15-year-old boy

The victim was taken to Akron General Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

A Canton man was charged in the accidental shooting death of a 15-year-old boy, Tuesday.

19-year-old Javen Foster was arrested for reckless homicide at a home in Barberton on August 8.

Reports say that Foster and a 15-year-old boy were playing with a stolen gun when the boy was shot.

The victim was taken to Akron General Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

The gun used in the shooting was stolen from an unlocked car earlier that morning.

Foster also faces charges of receiving stolen property and weapon under disability.

He is being held in the Summit County jail on a $100,000 cash bond.
