One person is dead following a single-car crash in Bath Township Sunday morning.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the driver was headed southbound on Interstate 77 when their Chevrolet Impala drove off the left side of the highway and hit an embankment just north of Ghent Road. The vehicle then overturned and the driver was ejected. The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released.
Authorities say the victim was not wearing a seat belt at the time. The crash remains under investigation.
