Police in Cuyahoga Falls looking for driver who fatally struck pedestrian

61-year-old Robert Persinger was fatally struck at 2nd Street and Grant Avenue on Sunday afternoon.

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Cuyahoga Falls Police are asking for your help in finding the driver who fatally struck a pedestrian at 2nd Street and Grant Avenue on Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened around noon. 

By the time police arrived at the scene, they found that a man had been hit by a vehicle. The vehicle was no longer at the scene. 

The victim, identified as 61-year-old Robert Persinger of Cuyahoga Falls, was taken to Summa Health System-Akron Campus, where he was later pronounced dead. 

Cuyahoga Falls Police are asking anyone that was in the area of 2nd Street and Chestnut Blvd-Grant Street between 11:55 a.m. and 12:06 p.m. and has information, to contact them. Call 330-971-8334 and ask for Detectives Dirker and T. Davis.
