PENINSULA, Ohio -- All three of Northeast Ohio’s ski resorts are temporarily closed because of this week’s warm and rainy weather.

Boston Mills / Brandywine in Peninsula are both closed through Wednesday.

They are currently slated to reopen on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 3:30 p.m.

Alpine Valley in Chesterland will be closed until Thursday at 1 p.m.

The resorts all posted notifications about their closures online saying the decision was made to preserve snow so they can extend the season.

Rain is more of a nemesis to the slopes than warmth.
