It's the Memorial Day weekend and most communities have their own parades.

Most are family friendly. Check out some of the activities below.

Lake View Cemetery Memorial Day Celebration

What: The event takes place at the Garfield Memorial and includes a parade and a Sousa band concert. You should bring your lawn chairs and a picnic!

61st annual Blossom Time Festival

What: The Chagrin Valley Jaycees present their 61st annual Blossom Time. This year's theme is "Welcome to the Jungle." There are carnival rides, hot air balloon launches and races, a Thursday night "Balloon Glow" at Chagrin Falls High School, a Sunday walk and fitness run and a Sunday 2 p.m. parade along East Washington Street.

Green Memorial Day parade, pancake breakfast and car show

What: Free pancake breakfast 7-9 a.m. at Fire Station No. 1 at 4200 Massillon Road (donations accepted for a local charity. The 10 a.m. parade follows with a ceremony at noon at Veterans Memorial Park, followed by the annual car show and community picnic from 12:30 p.m to 3 p.m.

Berea's National Rib Cook-Off

What: For the 19th year, the best ribs in the country! Gate admission includes all live entertainment.

Free parking; $5 admission and children under 12 get in free

13th annual Firefighters Memorial Day Ride

What: Annual ride to remember and honor firefighters

Where: Starts in downtown Cleveland at the Firefighters' Memorial and ends at South East Harley Davidson at 23105 Aurora Road in Bedford Heights.

When: Starts at 8 a.m. Sunday May 28 at the Firefighters' Memorial in Cleveland

Memorial Day at the Pro Football Hall of Fame

What: FREE admission to the HOF for all active military, veterans and first responders with valid ID/Badge

Where: Pro Football Hall of Fame at 2121 George Halas Drive NW in Canton

When: Monday, May 29

University Circle in Cleveland

What: University Circle and Wade Oval are home to museums, restaurants and parks. Stroll among the many paths in and around world-famous museums.

Where: Main Visitor & Circle Living Center at 11330 Euclid Avenue in Cleveland is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field

What: The Cleveland Indians are playing at home this Memorial Day weekend!

Taste of Summer at Flats East Bank

What: A Taste of Summer features local music, food, local vendors, volleyball, food trucks and much more.

Tremont Greek Fest

What: Greek food and pastries, Greek beer and wine, Greek dancing and authentic old-world shopping.

Behind-the-scenes tours of the Mather

What: Walk below the deck as you explore the inner workings of a steam engine and stand beside the propeller shaft in the depths of the ship.

What: The Midwest largest motorcycle rally – 10 days ridin,’ rockin,’ and racin’ along the beautiful shores of Lake Erie.

Cedar Point Armed Forces

What: In appreciation of their service and bravery, any active, retired or honorably discharged member of the United States Military will receive one free adult admission ticket.
