CLEVELAND — We have a winner!
After 25 consecutive drawings without a winner, one individual in Maine is waking up to winning the $1.35 billion Mega Millions jackpot from the historic lottery drawing on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023.
Although the winner was not from Ohio, make sure you still check your tickets, as there were still plenty of people who won smaller prizes throughout Ohio.
The Ohio Lottery says there were thousands of different winning tickets sold in the state with varying prizes as listed below…
$10,000 prize: 7 winners
$1,000 prize: 33 winners
$500 prize: 122 winners
$400 prize: 107 winners
$200 prize: 305 winners
$20 prize: 4,506 winners
$10 prize: 13,784 winners
$8 prize: 16,983 winners
$4 prize: 94,286 winners
$2 prize: 125,829 winners
The winning numbers in the Friday night drawing are 30, 434, 45, 46, 61 and Mega Ball 14. The Megaplier option was 2x.
The Mega Millions next jackpot is estimated at $20 million, which features a cash option of $10.7 million. The next drawing will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 11 p.m.
Mega Millions lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 302,575,350. The odds of hitting a $1 million winning ticket are listed at one in 12,607,306.
