Viral military flag video causing uproar in Jacksonville... North Carolina?

"Did you know there are at least 19 other Jacksonville's in the U.S?"

Another city bearing the same name as Jacksonville is getting caught in the crossfire after a City of Jacksonville employee cited a local business for displaying military flags on Monday.

The City of Jacksonville in North Carolina issued a statement on Tuesday saying its government employees have been flooded with a number of emails, phone calls and Facebook messages from angry citizens over a viral video posted by the manager of Jaguar Power Sports, a motorcycle shop on Blanding Boulevard.

The manager in the video claimed a COJ employee cited the business for displaying military flags on its roof. The manager also claimed a COJ employee told one of its customers, who was a veteran, that "you did nothing for our country."

Since then, Power and her supervisor were placed on administrative leave while the city investigates the incident and the citation was dropped.

Unfortunately, Jacksonville, North Carolina is receiving "misdirected anger," according to that city.

"Did you know there are at least 19 other Jacksonville's in the U.S?," a Facebook post said. "We most commonly get mistaken for stories out of Jacksonville, Florida -- as we have with a recent story about service flags."

"Jacksonville NC is proud of our military," the city also said in a press release " ... [we] memorialize those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and those who served."
