Ohio gubernatorial candidate Richard Cordray sits down with Tom Beres

The two discussed topics relevant to voters ahead of the Nov. 6 election over the course of the 45-minute interview.

AKRON -- Ohio gubernatorial candidate Richard Cordray will sat down Thursday with WKYC's former Senior Political Correspondent Tom Beres in the third of a series of interviews with Ohio's gubernatorial and U.S. Senate candidates.

The two discussed topics relevant to voters ahead of the Nov. 6 election. The 45-minute interviews give Beres and the candidates better opportunity to dive into topics beyond a debate setting.

Cordray, the Democratic nominee and former Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, had originally been scheduled to speak to Beres a week ago. His Republican counterpart, current Ohio Attorney General and former U.S. Sen. Mike DeWine, chatted with Beres last Wednesday.

U.S. Rep. and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jim Renacci also had a conversation with Beres. His opponent, Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown, is scheduled to talk on Oct. 19 at 10:30 a.m.
