GOP US Senate candidate Jim Renacci sits down with Tom Beres

Congressman Jim Renacci is hoping a Friday visit to Ohio by President Trump will boost his underdog campaign to unseat Senator Sherrod Brown

AKRON -- U.S. Senate candidate Jim Renacci sat down Tuesday with WKYC's former Senior Political Correspondent Tom Beres as part of a series of interviews with Ohio's gubernatorial and U.S. Senate candidates.

Beres and Renacci discussed topics relevant to voters ahead of the Nov. 6 election. The two also discussed why Renacci has not been running television commercials, the liberal voting record of his opponent, Sen. Sherrod Brown, and Brown's messy divorce from 30 years ago that includes allegations of abusive behavior.

Watch the entire interview below:

Renacci represents Ohio's 16th Congressional district and also serves on the House Ways and Means Committee and House Budget Committee. Endorsed by President Donald Trump, Renacci will square off against incumbent Democrat Sherrod Brown in November.
