3 Questions: How youths can explore the Akron Art Museum

AKRON, Ohio — Earlier this year, Jon Fiume was appointed to the position of executive director and CEO of the Akron Art Museum after serving as interim executive director since May of 2020.

Fiume is an active member of Akron’s civic and arts community. He brings over 25 years of leadership and support in the arts and culture sector. Over the same quarter century, the museum has continued to enrich the lives of those in Northeast Ohio through modern and contemporary art.

The I Promise students ask Fiume about what programs are available for youth at the Akron Art Museum, does the museum display any student artwork, how you can engage with the museum virtually and what their Open Studio program is all about.

“3 Questions” can be seen on “What’s New” at 4pm on Fridays. The interviews are recorded at the Kaulig Media Lab at the I Promise School. The project is a partnership between Kaulig Companies, LeBron James Family Foundation & WKYC Studios.
