LeBron James has a new partner.

And it might not be one you'd expect.

On Wednesday, The LeBron James Family Foundation announced that it has teamed up with Walmart in a "long-term partnership rooted in a shared commitment to education, fighting hunger, and creating positive change in their communities."

To begin the partnership, the 4-time MVP is teaming with with Walmart’s “Fight Hunger. Spark Change” campaign, helping the company pass its five-year goal of helping Feeding America secure over one billion meals for families in need.

Beginning on Wednesday, James’ personally-curated collection of items highlighting some of the foods featured in the initiative will launch online. James developed the line by drawing on his own experience growing up in Akron and the needs of his students at the I PROMISE School in his hometown. Additionally, Walmart will help keep the I PROMISE pantry at the school fully stocked with fresh and frozen food, toiletries and other basic necessities. The pantry is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week for all I PROMISE families.

In addition to fighting hunger, the LJFF and Walmart are teaming up on education efforts with James being a part of the company's Back to School campaign, "preparing students and families for school with the confidence and tools they need to be successful in the classroom and beyond."
