CONCORD, Ohio -- A semi crash triggered the closure of I-90 East between Route 44 and Vrooman Road on Tuesday morning.
The closure, which has since been cleared, went into effect around 10:30 a.m.
Heavy lake effect snow is creating difficult travel in Lake and Ashtabula counties with white-out conditions reported.
ODOT decreased the speed limit from the previously reduced 50 mph to 30 mph on I-90 between Route 44 and Route 528 in Lake County as of 10:45 a.m. The speed limit was raised to 40 mph at 11:40 a.m. By noon, the speed limit was back at 50 mph.
The snow is expected to continue throughout the day.
