Following former President George H.W. Bush's death, President Trump declared Dec. 5 (the day of Bush's state funeral) a National Day of Mourning. That meant several government agencies were closed, and no regular mail was delivered.

The talk show host and former Mayor of Cincinnati consistently ripped the president while campaigning for Democrats in the lead up to the midterms, declaring, "It's on us."

1. What is Ohio Issue 1? Separating fact from fiction on divisive drug ballot initiative

Perhaps the most divisive measure at stake during election season in Ohio was Issue 1, which would've reduced several drug crimes from felonies to misdemeanors. In the end, it was defeated at the polls by a wide margin.
