Television is all about what you can watch with your own eyes, and at WKYC, we work hard to give viewers excellent content not just on T.V., but online as well.

A huge part of that is, of course, YouTube, and in 2017, we posted several videos that caught viewers' attention more than most.

Here now are WKYC's five most-watched videos of the past year.

5. Trump denounces racism 3 days after Charlottesville march

Immediately following the violence caused by a white nationalist march in Charlottesville, Virginia, President Trump evoked much outrage when he claimed the unrest was caused by "many sides." After failing to initially condemn hate groups, the president addressed the nation again days later and firmly disavowed racism, white supremacists, and the Ku Klux Klan.

4. Cedar Point to open Steel Vengeance RMC coaster in 2018: Take a front seat ride

After closing it's popular "Mean Streak," Cedar Point announced a new replacement wooden roller coaster for 2018: "Steel Vengeance." The park provided riders with a video to give them a first-hand look at what things will be like on the new attraction.

3. Lifesaving hair appointment finds melanoma

Former WKYC health correspondent Eileen Korey thought she was just going in for a routine hair appointment, until her colorist noticed something strange on her scalp. Korey later sat down with her successor (Monica Robins) to discuss the chance discovery that saved her life.

2. Journey: Jonathan Cain & Ross Valory on seeing Steve Perry at Rock Hall Induction Ceremony

2017 saw the legendary rock band Journey gain induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but one big question lingered on everyone's mind: Would former and exiled front man Steve Perry show up for the ceremony? Russ Mitchell sat down with keyboardist Jonathan Cain and co-founder/bassist Ross Valory three days before to discuss that possibility.

1. Journey: Neal Schon on seeing Steve Perry at 2017 Rock Hall Induction Ceremony

Journey Guitarist Neal Schon also talked to Russ Mitchell about what it would be like to see Steve Perry at the ceremony. Perry ended up being there, and gave a well-received acceptance speech. However, he did not sing with the group.
