Browns excited about NFL Draft coming to Cleveland

Joel Bitonio and Denzel Ward are thrilled to see the draft make its way to Northeast Ohio for the first time.

CLEVELAND — Cleveland is hosting the 2021 NFL Draft, and two Browns are exited to see the dream become a reality.

"That would be huge for the city," said second-year cornerback and Northeast Ohio native Denzel Ward. "Everybody should come out and just enjoy that process."

Offensive guard Joel Bitonio, one of the longest-tenured players on the roster, thinks Cleveland is the perfect landing spot for such an event.

"I think it would show like, 'Hey, Cleveland's a cool place to be,' and it would be awesome for the community," Bitonio said. "We have truly diehard fans in this part of the country.

"It would be an awesome week. That would be for sure."

The NFL made the announcement official on Wednesday, with Commissioner Roger Goodell flanked at the podium by Browns owner Jimmy Haslam.
