LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. — With one week remaining in the season, the latest College Football Playoff rankings were released Tuesday night.

The top four remained unchanged, with Ohio State remaining No. 1 after beating Michigan for the eighth year in a row. The committee moved OSU up to the top last week, and the Buckeyes game them no reason to change their mind. They get a rematch with Wisconsin Saturday in the Big Ten Championship Game

The LSU Tigers had an easy week, cruising past Texas A&M 50-7. This was the third time this season the Aggies had played the team ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Top 25. The Tigers will face Georgia for the SEC title this weekend.

Still holding firm are the other Tigers, of Clemson. Last weekend, it was in-state rival South Carolina that got trampled by the defending champs. Clemson beat the Gamecocks 38-3 and will face the Virginia Cavaliers in the ACC Championship Game. The Tigers are a four-touchdown favorite over the second-best team in the league.

Finally, it was the No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs that wrecked Georgia Tech 52-7 in their annual rivalry showdown. Despite being fourth in the rankings for the last three weeks, Georgia's playoff hopes hings on beating LSU in Atlanta for the SEC Championship.

Alabama's second loss ended their run of five consecutive playoff berths. The Crimson Tide dropped to 10th after losing to Auburn.

Minnesota also saw its opportunity end in the snow against Wisconsin. They are now 18th.

The final rankings will be unveiled this Sunday, a day after the conference championship games are over.
