EVANSTON, Ill. — Rebeka Mikulasikova had 16 points and 12 rebounds as Ohio State took down Northwestern 74-61 Sunday afternoon.
It was the junior forward's second double-double of the year, with the rebound total also being a career-high. Jacy Sheldon added 20 points to lead the Buckeyes (11-3, 3-2 Big Ten), who won for the fourth time in five games.
Veronica Burton led Northwestern (10-4, 2-1) with 16 points, but she was the only one on her team to reach double figures. The Wildcats lost the game despite advantages in shooting percentage (40%-36%) and points in the paint (34-24), with OSU holding a slight rebounding edge (43-38).
Ohio State will look to keep pace in the Big Ten Wednesday night when it hosts Michigan State in Columbus.
