Watch: J.K. Dobbins gives Ohio State 10-0 lead with 68-yard TD run

Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins gave the Buckeyes a 10-0 first quarter lead over Clemson with a 68-yard touchdown run .

Well that didn't take long.

After Clemson was unable to match Ohio State's opening drive field goal in the first quarter of the Fiesta Bowl, the Buckeyes took over for their second drive of the night at their own 32-yard line. One play later, however, Ohio State was in the end zone after running back J.K. Dobbins took a zone read play 68 yards and into the end zone, giving the Buckeyes an early 10-lead over Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinal.

At 75 yards on just three carries, Dobbins now finds himself just 24 yards short of tying Eddie George's school record for most rushing yards in a single season.

Dobbins' run was the second big highlight in as many drives for the Buckeyes on Saturday night. On the game's opening drive, freshman wide receiver Garrett Wilson made a leaping, acrobatic 22-yard catch, which set the stage for a 21-yard Blake Haubeil field goal. The winner of the matchup between the Buckeyes and Tigers in Glendale will advance to the College Football Playoff Championship Game in New Orleans on Jan. 13, where they'll meet No. 1 LSU.
