#11 ranked Gonzaga women get big road win over Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. — After only beating Pacific by a point in Spokane a few weeks ago, the Gonzaga women dominated the Tigers on their return trip to Stockton on Thursday, winning 83-56.

Gonzaga went on a 12-2 run in the third quarter and Pacific never got close after that.

Per usual for Gonzaga, the scoring was very even, with four players hitting double figures. Jill Townsend led the way with 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting. LeeAnne Wirth had 12 points, Louise Forsyth had 11 points, and Jenn Wirth had 10 points and 10 boards to round out the group.

The Bulldogs dominated nearly every statistical category against Pacific. The Zags shot 53% in the game and held Pacific to just 37% shooting. Gonzaga also had 36 rebounds compared to Pacific's 24. The also held the edge in assists with 20. The Tigers had 11.

Kayleigh Truong got her first start in a Gonzaga uniform in place of the injured Katie Campbell.

Gonzaga's next game is on the road at Saint Mary's on Saturday at 2 PM.
