Channel 3 Sports has learned that Garfield Heights star forward Alonzo Gaffney is not expected to return to the Bulldogs for his senior season.
Gaffney has not filed an official transfer request with Garfield Heights City Schools, according to a source familiar with the situation.
The Ohio State commit is a five-star prospect and the top-ranked junior in Ohio, according to ESPN and Rivals.
Gaffney averaged 18.2 points and 9 rebounds for the Bulldogs last season. The 6'9" power forward verbally committed to the Buckeyes in April.
