Buckeye-Kenston matchup to be featured as WKYC.com's HS Football Playoff Game of the Week

Dave "Dino" DeNatale and Mark "Munch" Bishop will be in Bedford Friday night to call the action.

The High School Football playoffs are now well underway, and last week, WKYC.com's Game of the Week was in Solon as the Canton McKinley Bulldogs took down the Comets 28-15.

This week, we have the regional semifinals, meaning all games will be played at neutral sites from here on out. WKYC.com will be in Bedford this Friday night, as the second-seeded Kenston Bombers battle the third-seeded Buckeye Bucks.

It's the second time this year our Game of the Week has featured Kenston, which lost a 27-24 thriller to Chardon in Week 9. It was the Bombers' only loss of the season so far, and the Western Reserve Conference co-champions opened the Division III playoffs with a 48-34 victory over West Holmes.

Buckeye is also 10-1, having not lost since a 43-6 Week 1 defeat against Revere. The champions of the Patriot Athletic Conference barely slipped by Alliance 28-25 in the first round and will try to continue to improve on last year's disappointing end to the season, when they stormed through the regular season at 10-0 only to fall in the first round against Tallmadge.

Dave "Dino" DeNatale and Mark "Munch" Bishop will be in Bedford Friday night to call the action, with the winner taking on either top-seeded Canfield or fifth-seeded Akron East in the regional final. Fans can listen to the game on WKYC.com, the WKYC app, or the WKYC Facebook page, and video highlights will also be featured later online and on the 11 o'clock news.
