KENT, Ohio — Kent Roosevelt High School has canceled Friday night's football game against Marlington after a Rough Rider player tested positive for COVID-19.
Superintendent Greg Joseph tells 3News the district is currently working with the Portage County Health Department to determine if anyone else was exposed to the coronavirus. Once more information is known, they will figure out how to further proceed.
Kent was one of a handful of teams to delay the starts of their football seasons due to concerns about the virus. Tonight's home contest was supposed to be the 2020 opener for the Rough Riders.
