West Geauga routs Parma 43-0 in WKYC.com High School Football Game of the Week

Besides touchdowns from Torry Stazzone and David Fofana, the Wolverines also got scores on defense and special teams.

PARMA, Ohio — Friday night’s WKYC.com High School Football Game of the Week featured two teams we had never showcased before. It turned out to be a night to remember, albeit for only one of them.

West Geauga crushed Parma Senior 43-0 on the strength of a 34-0 halftime advantage. Besides touchdowns from Torry Stazzone and David Fofana, the Wolverines also got scores on defense and special teams.

Stewart found Stazzone from 8 yards out on the opening drive, but the big blow came when Lucas Sadler blocked a Dominic Dearman punt in the end zone and Ryan Garvey fell on it for a TD to make it 14-0 in the first quarter. It was all downhill for the Redmen from there, and later an Ethan Deamiches fumble (forced by Garvey) set up a Fofana scoring run to make it 24-0.

Joey Dialla kicked his second of three field goals from 46 yards away to make it 27-0, but Parma had a chance to cut into the deficit just before intermission. Unfortunately, Keanu Krall's pass was intercepted by Joey Hornyak and taken all the way back for six, and it was never in doubt from that point forward.

Sadler and Chris Ranallo added picks for West Geauga, which improved to 2-1 on the season. The Redmen suffered their first lost.
