NORTH RANDALL, Ohio — Today's the day! People worldwide are celebrating the 145th Annual Kentucky Derby, including right here in Ohio.
While there are dozens of places honoring this rite of spring since 1875, there's one local place that's laying it all out for Derby Day: JACK Thistledown Racino.
Starting at 10 a.m., you can gallop up to a buffet, fit for a horse! We got a preview this morning, and it did not disappoint. Chef Jessie whipped up fried chicken, mac and cheese, cheesy grits, fried catfish, roasted turkey, ribs, and roasted veggies -- just to name a few!
Then, at 11 a.m., bars open to serve a derby favorite: Mint juleps!
You can also get ready for the Kentucky Derby with live races at the Racino, plus a derby hat contest, and live music!
