For My Take, there's more drama coming from the Cavs locker room and we can add this to the list of distractions.
When you look at LeBron James's Twitter account, he follows 153 people. He follows people like Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving, even Steph Curry; but he dropped the Cavs. He unfollowed them yesterday.
He was asked about it last night after the game. LeBron said "Next question," and then abruptly ended his time with the media. Some are now trying to compare this to the secret message Tweets LeBron sent recently, especially after his workout with Dwyane Wade in Miami.
This is how LeBron works. He wants to be a mystery and keep people guessing and talking.
The Cavs Twitter page is filled with highlights, sound bites and promotional information. Why does LeBron need that clutter on his Twitter feed? He's known for toning down his social media before the playoffs so he can focus.
But should LeBron follow the Cavs page as a sign that he's a good employee, that he's part of the team and lead by example instead of dropping them?
I don't care who LeBron follows and unfollows on Twitter. But once again as this plays out and there's media coverage of it, LeBron has brought another distraction to this team. Another distraction they don't need with the playoffs right around the corner.
