The MLB announced Thursday morning that McKenzie will serve as a social media correspondent for Game 2 in Houston, Texas and Game 3 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In his role, McKenzie will interview players from both teams on the field, make appearances on the MLB network and give viewers a behind-the-scenes look as the teams battle for the Commissioner's Trophy.

Fans interested in viewing McKenzie's work during the World Series can follow him on Twitter and Instagram. His work will also be posted on MLB's official social media accounts.

This year, McKenzie had a breakout season with the Guardians as he finished amongst the top 10 in the American League (AL) in every statistical pitching category. McKenzie amassed a 2.96 ERA while throwing 190 strikeouts in 191.1 innings pitched.

During the postseason, McKenzie continued to impress on the field as he helped guide the team to a victory against the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL Wild Card Series and a victory over the New York Yankees in the AL Division Series.

McKenzie is also a fan favorite, thanks to his work off the field that he does in the Northeast Ohio community.

Earlier this year, McKenzie was named the Guardians' 2022 Robert Clemente Award nominee for his service.
