'José is taking over the Box Office': Cleveland Guardians offering various ticket incentives as pennant race heats up

Deals include discounts for college students as well as $11 prices for upper-deck seats to this Saturday's game against the Seattle Mariners.

CLEVELAND — Don't look now, but your Cleveland Guardians are right in the middle of a pennant race, and the team is celebrating this fun time by offering various ticket incentives to their loyal fans.

Perhaps the most notable deal comes this Saturday night, when the Guards will be selling all upper-deck seats for the matchup against the Seattle Mariners at just $11 apiece. José Ramírez is apparently "taking over the Box Office" by selling tickets bearing his familiar uniform number, and the deal lasts through Friday at 11:59 p.m. as the Guards attempt to "PACK Progressive Field" for a matchup between two playoff contenders that will air on national television as part of FOX's "Baseball Night in America."

Besides the Saturday free-for-all, the Guardians are also expanding their college student offer to include all Friday and Saturday home games through the end of the regular season. The plan allows those currently in college and registered with Student Beans to buy either upper bleacher or upper reserved seats for only $10 a pop at a limit of eight tickets per game.

Dates now part of the offer include:

  • Sept. 2 against the Seattle Mariners
  • Sept. 3 against the Seattle Mariners
  • Sept. 16 against the Minnesota Twins
  • Sept. 17 against the Minnesota Twins (two separate games)
  • Sept. 30 against the Kansas City Royals
  • Oct. 1 against the Kansas City Royals

Finally, the Family Value Pack has also been extended to include all Saturday games through the final month of the regular season. For $80 plus fees, families can purchase four tickets in the Family Deck that includes a $40 voucher for concessions and merchandise, and up to four additional seats can be bought for $20 apiece with each carrying an additional $10 voucher. The deal applies to the Sept. 3 game against Seattle, the Sept. 17 day-night doubleheader against Minnesota, and Sept. 30 against KC.

Entering Monday, the Guardians led the Twins by two games in the American League Central, with the division rivals still set to come to Cleveland one more time. Fans can purchase seats for any remaining home game at CLEGuardians.com.
