Watch: The Black Keys' drummer Pat Carney joins John Adams on drum at Indians game

Two local drumming legends came together for one epic moment.

CLEVELAND — Two Northeast Ohio drumming legends came together Monday night to celebrate as the Cleveland Indians secured their 80th win of the season.

John Adams, fondly known as the Tribe's official drummer, rarely misses a home game, and can often be seen surrounded by fans in the top row of the bleachers. But a special fan was spotted with Adams during Monday night's game, marking an epic moment as two local drumming legends combined forces.

Patrick Carney, the drummer half of Akron rock band The Black Keys, joined Adams on the famous rally drum to celebrate a home run:

The Black Keys rose to fame in 2010 when the single "Tighten Up" nabbed the Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. The hit "Lonely Boy" followed and won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song in 2013.

The band recently ended a five-year hiatus, during which guitarist and lead singer Dan Auerbach released a solo LP called "Waiting On A Song", and drummer Carney released "Akron, Ohio", the debut album for his other band, Sad Planets.

The Black Keys' latest album, "Let's rock," featuring the single "Lo/Hi" debuted in June. The band is scheduled to kick off its North American tour in Las Vegas on Sept. 21. It'll return home to Northeast Ohio with a show Sept. 30 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
