Cleveland Indians' 2018 home opener officially sold out

The Indians will host the Kansas City Royals on Friday, April 6.

CLEVELAND --When the Cleveland Indians host the Kansas City Royals on April 6, they'll do so in front of a sold-out crowd.

The Indians announced on Monday that their 2018 home opener has sold out, marking the 26th straight season the Tribe's first home game has done so. Tickets to the general public were not scheduled to go on sale until Tuesday, but an increase in season ticket sales and strong demand in their exclusive presales made an early sellout possible.

Tickets for all other 80 Indians home games will be available online only at Indians.com on Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. Tickets at the Progressive Field Box Ticket Office and Team Shop will be available beginning Monday, March 19.

Don't, however, expect tickets to last long for the two-time defending American League Central champions. According to the team, many lower bowl tickets for summer weekend games are already sold out/limited.
