One day before they're expected to activate one former All-Star, the Cleveland Indians' reactivated another.

The team announced on Monday afternoon that it has reactivated relief pitcher Andrew Miller. The 2-time All-Star had been placed on the 10-day disabled list on Aug. 29 as he dealt with external impingement in his left shoulder.

Miller's latest DL stint marked his third this year in what's been an injury-riddled year. Having also dealt with hamstring and knee injuries, the 6-foot-7 left-hander has amassed a 2-3 record and a 3.38 earned run average -- his highest since the 2011 season.

Between Miller's injuries and inconsistencies elsewhere, the Indians bullpen currently lays claim to a 4.71 ERA -- the sixth highest in all of baseball. Nevertheless, he'll continue to be counted on as an integral piece of the team's pitching staff as the homestretch of the regular season and postseason play approaches.
