SIGHTS AND SOUNDS | Cleveland Indians prepare for Opening Day against Kansas City Royals at Progressive Field

Baseball is back!

CLEVELAND — Tonight, the Cleveland Indians are opening the 2020 season against the Kansas City Royals at Progressive Field.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, things are going to look and sound different at the ballpark this season. Most notably is the absence of fans in the stands.

There are also just 60 games on the regular season schedule.

Despite the changes, opening day festivities will be in full effect, with the Indians airing prerecorded renditions of the national anthem, God Bless America and tributes to coronavirus (COVID-19) and social justice efforts prior to first pitch.

Our team is all set to bring you coverage of the Indians and Royals this evening. We'll start at 5 p.m. with "Tribe Time: Opening Day," plus "What Matters Most" at 6 p.m., and then live coverage of the game at 7:00 p.m.
