CLEVELAND — There are no-doubter home runs, and then there's the bomb that was hit by Indians designated hitter Franmil Reyes on Thursday night.

With one on and one out in the fourth inning, Reyes launched a slider from Detroit's Drew VerHagen halfway into the left field bleachers at Progressive Field to put the Indians up 4-0. The bomb by Reyes measured some 433 feet.

Prior to surrendering the homer to Reyes, VerHagen had pitched six straight relief outings where he allowed two runs or less. He gave up an RBI double to Yasiel Puig earlier in the fourth inning.

Reyes is returning to the Indians lineup on Thursday after missing the last two games for personal reasons.

In 43 games with the Tribe, Reyes has now hit 8 homers and driven in 30 runs.
