On Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers will sit Andre Drummond as they attempt to trade the two-time All-Star center.

And while it doesn't appear that any deal is imminent, at least one potential trade partner has already emerged.

Just before Wojnarowski reported about the Cavs plans for Drummond, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Cleveland and the Toronto Raptors -- who are spending this season playing in Tampa Bay due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic -- have engaged in trade talks regarding the four-time rebounding champion. Charania also added that Cavs head coach J.B. Bickerstaff has recently had discussions with Drummond, who is currently in the final year of his contract, regarding his "attitude and play" in recent weeks.

The NBA trade deadline is scheduled for March 25.

Cleveland acquired Drummond from the Detroit Pistons at last year's trade deadline in exchange for the expiring contracts of John Henson and Brandon Knight. After appearing in eight games for the Cavs before the coronavirus pandemic prematurely ended their 2019-20 campaign, the 27-year-old Drummond helped Cleveland get off to a promising start in the 2020-21 season, averaging 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in 25 games this season.

But after the Cavs acquired center Jarrett Allen in four-way trade with the Brooklyn Nets last month, Drummond's future in Cleveland became clear. Having suffered seven consecutive losses, the Cavs enter Monday night's matchup with the Golden State Warriors laying claim to a 10-18 record.
