Channing Frye, Richard Jefferson congratulate 'ball hog' LeBron James on passing Michael Jordan

After passing Michael Jordan on the NBA's all-time scoring list, LeBron James was promptly roasted by a pair of former Cleveland Cavaliers teammates.

On Wednesday, LeBron James passed Michael Jordan for fourth place on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

And although the celebration from Los Angeles Lakers fans left something to be desired, a couple of James' former Cleveland Cavaliers teammates didn't disappoint.

Just as James was scoring his 32,293rd career point in the second quarter of the Lakers' loss to the Denver Nuggets, the Cavs were wrapping up their own defeat nearly 2,800 miles away in Brooklyn. Having just lost to the Nets, Cleveland forward Channing Frye found himself reunited with now Brooklyn color commentator Richard Jefferson and the 'Road Trippin'' co-hosts teamed up to shower James with a "congratulatory" message.

“I think it’s a huge accomplishment for a guy like him who’s shown his consistency, of ball-hogging. He’s a huge ball hog," Frye told ESPN's Ian Begley.

“Never passed the ball," Jefferson added.

“Never. Passed. The. Ball," Frye continued.

"Why don’t you try to pass the all-time assist leader? Why don’t you try and pass John Stockton, instead of trying to pass Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar]?” Jefferson asked.

"It took him long enough. What is this, 19 years?” Frye said.

“Years," Jefferson confirmed.

“It took him years," Frye emphasized.

"God, if I kept playing I would have passed people too,” said Jefferson, who retired last offseason.

"Yeah, if I just shot 14-15 times a game. Anyway, congrats man -- you suck,” added Frye.

“Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy," Jefferson relented.

“You owe me a bottle of wine," Frye made sure to remind James.

In addition to Jefferson and Frye's roasting session, Cavs forward Kevin Love took to Twitter to congratulate James on his latest milestone.

Suffice to say, while James may be gone from Cleveland locker room, he's far from forgotten.
