CLEVELAND -- With 10:25 remaining the second quarter of the Cleveland Cavaliers' Sunday matinee with the Philadelphia 76ers, Channing Frye grabbed an offensive rebound off a missed Cedi Osman free throw.

After pump faking Sixers All-Star center Joel Embiid, Frye then drove to the hoop and fired off a two-handed pass to Cavs rookie point guard Collin Sexton.

There was just one problem: Sexton wasn't in the game.

The clip humorous clip proceeded to go viral on social media, with even LeBron James taking to Instagram to chide his former teammate. On Monday, doing so as only he can, Frye then took to Twitter to do his best to offer an explanation for the blooper, with a post reading "This is how I saw it go down in my mind!" with a video attached.

In the video, Frye's errant pass is replayed, with clips from a State Farm insurance commercial and the movie "Forrest Gump" spliced in between. Frye's tweet has since been retweeted more than 1,700 times and given more than 8,600 "likes."

With Tristan Thompson rehabbing his sprained foot, Frye has not only received increased playing time, but also a starting role. With Thompson not expected back for another 3-4 weeks, Frye should have plenty of opportunities to make amends for his mistake -- not that social media has been willing to let him forget it anytime soon.

With the Cavs' defeat to the Sixers dropping their record to 7-23, they'll be back in action on Tuesday when they face the Indiana Pacers.
